In this workshop you will:

• Gain historical insights into the origins of pens and inks as a medium of creativity, communication, and record keeping;

• Make several batches of wild inks from seasonally available, common plant materials found locally on the natural landscape;

• Make a variety of dip pens ranging in complexity, from simple to sophisticated, from a variety of natural materials;

• Explore some of the creative potential of handmade pens and inks;

• Go home with your own personally hand-crafted pen and ink set
